First Training Camp for the “Groupe FRANCE”

The first ever sitting volleyball training camp for the “Groupe FRANCE” took place on 4th, 5th and 6th March 2016 in Vandoeuvre les Nancy (FRA) with the objective to start the ground work towards building a potential National Team in the future.

The group was hosted by the club VNVB which has its own Sitting Volleyball section which was created in September 2013 under the coaching of Isaline SAGER-WEIDER, French National Team player and professional player for the Top League team of VNVB Vandoeuvre.

The event was organised by the FFVB Project Manager for Health Volley (Volley Santé) Chrystel BERNOU and the group was coached by the former German Women National Sitting Volleyball Team Sven RITTER.

The weekend allowed the team to get together and practice as they are due to take part in the first New Nations Tournament taking place in Prague between 22nd and 24th April and hosted by the club SK Kometa Praha.

The tournament will see some New Nations teams play for the first time at an international level.  More information on this tournament will be available soon.
