Everything is ready for the first Italian Sitting Volley Championship starting this weekend in Rotonda, Region of Basilicata, and in Roma. 10 men teams and 6 women teams will take part in the very first Italian National Championship for Clubs.
President Pietro Bruno Cattaneo commented “The start of the first Italian Championship is an important milestone for Sitting Volleyball, and once again it shows the Federation’s commitment to this wonderful sport that carries so much value.”
The Event is scheduled for the months of May and June 2017, and it will be structured into 3 pools for men and 2 pools for women.
The Single Round Robin formula of the first phase will carry the winners of the pools to the semi-finals of Bari on the 21st of May.
The grand finale is scheduled on June 3rd, 2017, during the FIVB World League in Pesaro. It will be a great moment of recognition for this sport and the first National Champions of the Paralympic discipline.
