Slovenia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Serbia on the line to host future PVE events

Budapest, Hungary, 20 July 2019 – With all the ParaVolley family of Europe (and also some from farther afield) gathered in Budapest for the 2019 Sitting Volleyball European Championships, ParaVolley Europe seized the opportunity to present candidates for future continental events.

The Czech Republic, Turkey and Serbia have presented bids for the 2021 and 2023 Division A European Championships, it was announced. The Czech Republic is proposing a split event for the 2021 event, separating the genders, while Turkey and Serbia are offering combined events to be held in May / June (presentations can be found here).

“The 2020 Division B European Championships are to be held in Slovenia with the organisational support of the Spodnja Savinska Sempeter volleyball club”, PVE President Branko Mihorko confirmed.

A 2020 Women’s Sitting Volleyball Open and a New Nations event including countries participating in the Invictus Games will be held in parallel with the 2020 Division B European Championships in Slovenia.

Furthermore, President Mihorko also announced the introduction of a PVE Educational Week, set up to prepare Level 2 Classifiers, Levels 2 and 3 Referees, alongside Technical Delegates. Other side events will include Communications and Marketing workshops.
