Launch of Nations League Competition – Women

Following the PVE Board meeting held on 17th May 2020 regarding previously postponed competitions, we would like to inform you that the Board took the decision to launch the above new competition in Sempeter (SLO) between 28th and 30th August 2020 included and to invite all of the PVE Women’s teams following the cancellation of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic games.

Since the current circumstances are still uncertain due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Board is closely monitoring the situation and will review the status of the competition on 15th June and 15th July.

One last review will be made on 10th August after which the competition will be fully confirmed.  Should there be any signs of infection after the teams arrivals, the competition will be halted and teams will be refunded for the nights not yet spent in Slovenia.

As a result, there are some conditions to be fulfilled by the participating teams in order to follow the regulations imposed by the Slovenian government to ensure everybody’s safety.  These are detailed in the infographics below:

We would like to ask the teams already registered to confirm by return that they can still attend the competition as soon as the situation in each country allows them to do so but no later than 15th June.

If your team was not already registered, please send us an email – mail@paravolley.eu – so that we can forward you the registration form.

The technical meeting with the registered teams’ official representatives will be organised end of June (date to be confirmed) over video conference (details to be shared later).

Please be assured that the safety of our athletes, officials and LOC members is of paramount importance to us and we will endeavour to make sure everybody is safe and welcome in the right conditions.

Should you have any concerns, we invite you to voice them at any point in time by sending us a email.

We look forward to welcoming you in Slovenia.
