Competitions Update

Further to several videoconference calls with members nations regarding the competitions which had been postponed due to the Covid-19, the PVE Board has taken into consideration the fact that many nations have not yet resumed training.

As a result the following decisions have been taken:

2020 Nations League – Women

• Location: Sempeter (SLO)
• Arrival date:  27th August 2020
• Competition dates: 28th to 30th August 2020
• Departure date: 31st August 2020
• The following teams have already registered:

        • SLO
        • UKR
• All the other Women’s European teams not mentioned above are more than welcome to attend the Nations League competition

2020 European Championship B – Men

• Location: Poreč (CRO)
• Arrival date: 26th – 27th – 28th October 2020 depending on the number of players requiring classification
• Competition dates: 29th to 31st October 2020
• Departure date: 1st November 2020
• This competition has been moved from end August to end October due to several nations not being able to start training as it is a qualification event for the European Championship A
• All the nations who did not take part to the 2019 EuroSittingVolley in Budapest and who are ranked 10th and lower are invited to register
• PVE is looking forward to welcoming the following teams:

2020 Nations League – Men

• Location: Assen (NED)
• Arrival date: 29th October 2020
• Competition dates: 30th October to 1st November 2020
• Departure date: 2nd November 2020
• This competition will take place at the same time as the Dutch tournament thanks to the organiser’s cooperation
• All the nations who took part to the 2019 EuroSittingVolley in Budapest ranked 1st to 9th place are invited to register.
• PVE is looking forward to welcoming the following teams:

In the event there might be a second wave of the virus, the PVE board will do its best to re-arrange them later in the year to give teams the opportunity to play official games.
