Successful #EuroSittingVolleyB closes the competition book for 2022

Hungary struck gold at the 2022 Sitting Volleyball European Championship B after overpowering Slovenia 3-1 (18-25, 25-15, 25-23, 25-18) in the final in Rouen.

Slovenia had already lost most of their momentum after the first set and an attempt to retake the lead in the third proved fruitless.

Hungary were in control throughout the fourth set and though Slovenia were desperately trying to catch up, the Magyars reach match point with six to spare before Szabolcs Zarandi pounded away the last ball.

Hungary finish the three-day tournament undefeated in six matches, having dropped only two sets on the way – both to Slovenia in pool play and in the final.
